one of us is next - book review

Image
"we're like the kardashians, except any money" final thoughts after reading this book? oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, no, no, no, this CANNOT be happening. one of us is next is the sequel to the book one of us is lying (check out my book review before this) this book focuses on three main protagonists- Maeve (Bronwyn Rojas, the protagonist of 'one of us is lying's' sister), Phoebe Lawton and Knox Myers. I have to be honest, this book was really addicting right until the middle where I had this smart thought- 'oh, this book is so easy to predict, the person doing all this is obviously *censored*' (read the book to find out) and boy was I wrong. SO SO WRONG. someone has started playing a game of Truth or Dare. But this is no ordinary Truth or Dare. This game is lethal. Choosing the truth may reveal your darkest secrets, accepting the dare could be dangerous, even deadly but what other choice do they have?  always choose the dare this is what the summar...

one of us is lying - book review

"so you're not perfect. so what? welcome to the real world." ok I know I always say this after reading a book but please- BEST BOOK EVER. one of us is lying is a murder mystery book (something im really into these days) revolving around the sudden and unexpected death of simon kelleher. a geek, bronwyn, a jock, cooper, a criminal, nate and a prom queen, addy were present when Simon died, all of them are suspects but who is the one that did it? who is lying? just by reading the summary I got goosebumps. I really loved the book because of the plot twists and the cliffhangers, my literal thoughts while reading this book were- ' yes, this is why im reading this at 4 am in the morning and probably gonna pulling an all nighter because I can't put it down, oh no, I hope no ones behind me im scared, oops, phones battery is going to die. guess using a flashlight wasn't the best option.' anyway, one of things I most liked about this book is the character developmen...

playlist for the dead - book review

" People are going to say a lot of things. And some of it will be helpful, and some of it will be annoying, and lots of it will get on your nerves. But they're saying it because they found it helpful when they lost someone. They mean well."   if someone asked me to describe this book in one word, I couldn't,  Playlist for the Dead  by Michelle Falkoff is about a boy named Sam. His best and only, friend Hayden has just committed suicide, and all he has left, as a suicide note, is a  playlist , with 27  songs  on it. As he tries to decipher the  playlist  he learns more and more about Hayden's life, and the people in it. the concept and idea of the story is really amazing and the plot of the story is very well written too.  its just that (don't attack me) the ending kind of failed to impress me.  as I read through the book, it kind of got predictable for me and how the characters would play part in Hayden's death...

clockwork princess - book review

Image
"life is a book, and there are a thousand pages I have yet to read." this book. oh my gosh this book.  I have no words. this book broke me into pieces and left me crying for the day. clockwork princess is the third and final book of 'the infernal devices'. it is set in the during the 1800 century and follows the perspective of the main protagonist Tessa gray.  this book is written so beautifully by the author, Cassandra Clare, that it would leave you in a puddle of tears.  the epilogue though. that's where you would have had enough. it is literally the most agonising and painful experience reading that. anyway, I don't want to scare you by going into the depths of how emotional this book is.  let me introduce you to the main protagonists of this book series. he would give you the happiness and joyfulness you don't deserve. he is so bold and caring, like the knight in shining armour. he is hope that is not lost. he is will herondale. his smile is like the s...
