two can keep a secret- book review

" it's pretty reckless going out at three am in the moring.
unless there's no reason for you to be afraid.
unless you're the one who people should be afraid of. "

Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus

third murder mystery in less than a month and every book by Karen M. McManus makes my jaw drop.

this book was so not what I expected it to be. well, it's not like it ever is.

Ellery and her twin brother Eli have never been to Echo Ridge High. it was where their aunt went missing at the age of sixteen and never returned and five years ago a homecoming queen, Lacey, was murdered.
it's almost certain that the person who killed Sarah (the aunt) could have killed Lacey too. looks like the small town has secrets to hide.

I don't want to give too much away but this novel has a bit of action too. thriller and action? they make a scary pair when you don't know what's coming.

I love this book because it has a ton of unexpected and interesting plot twists. (not gonna lie, I saw some of them coming since I read the spoilers involuntarily, but even after that it shocked me)

it was like reading 'one of us is next' all over again since it happened.
by that I mean that like the last 2 pages shook me, in this book the last line did.
and guess what?
it was a cliffhanger.
a cliffhanger.

that single line made me question the whole book, research google, scroll through pinterest, check reddit and so much more.
like how was that line even true?

read the book and share what you think with me :)

thank you and farewell my fellow readers.

make today your best.
