"I am rooted, but I flow."



This book was everything. It made me feel everything. Even if it was sad, and I wish it shouldn't have been done, I love it just the way it is written. I know it had to be done. I just wish he could have sticked around for a little while longer.


This story is of a girl who learns to live from a boy who wants to die. 

Violet Markey is still in a shock from her sister's death and is not able to live her life she used to before the accident. She is forever changed. She is devastated. Why and how can living become suddenly so tough when you lose someone you love? It is all too overwhelming- her parents, her friends, her counsellor, when she finds herself on the top of the ledge above her high school. A building six stories high. She didn't even realise she had walked up to the place until she was looking down.

Theodore Markey is a boy who is broken and no one can fix it. He experiences these dark times when he disappears into a place in in his brain, like a black hole, he is swallowed entirely in it and no one can save him because he can't save himself. Sometimes he would stay like this for days and it gives him headaches. He wants to make it all stop so he thinks taking his own life is the only option. Today is a good day to die. He says to himself. He is again on top of his high school building, six stories high.


The broken boy and girl are on opposite sides of the ledge, looking down.


They become aware of each other, and everything changes.

" it's pretty reckless going out at three am in the moring. unless there's no reason for you to be afraid. unless you're the one who people should be afraid of. " third murder mystery in less than a month and every book by Karen M. McManus makes my jaw drop. this book was so not what I expected it to be. well, it's not like it ever is.  Ellery and her twin brother Eli have never been to Echo Ridge High. it was where their aunt went missing at the age of sixteen and never returned and five years ago a homecoming queen, Lacey, was murdered.  it's almost certain that the person who killed Sarah (the aunt) could have killed Lacey too. looks like the small town has secrets to hide.  "becoming fearless isn't the point. that's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free of it." Divergent is so motivating and intimidating, after reading it i believed to be capable of jumping off of a moving train.  this is the first book in the trilogy. (divergent, insurgent, allegiant).  The protagonist, Beatrice (Tris) Prior is a girl from the Abnegation faction. There are five factions in total- Abnegation (for selfishness), Dauntless (for bravery), Amity (for kindness), Erudite (for cleverness) and Candor (for honesty) All the people are divided into different factions according to how they are supposed to behave and to maintain peace. It is a broken community, with everyone tore into 5 separate communities.  When you come of age, which is sixteen years, you are supposed to chose a faction for yourself.  You have a choice of remaining with your family in the faction you were born in or you can switch to another one.  but h...

"we're like the kardashians, except any money" final thoughts after reading this book? oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, no, no, no, this CANNOT be happening. one of us is next is the sequel to the book one of us is lying (check out my book review before this) this book focuses on three main protagonists- Maeve (Bronwyn Rojas, the protagonist of 'one of us is lying's' sister), Phoebe Lawton and Knox Myers.  "we tell ourselves there are reasons for things that happen, but we're just telling ourselves stories." it took me a whole of ten minutes to pick the perfect starting quote.  "so you're not perfect. so what? welcome to the real world." ok I know I always say this after reading a book but please- BEST BOOK EVER. one of us is lying is a murder mystery book (something im really into these days) revolving around the sudden and unexpected death of simon kelleher. a geek, bronwyn, a jock, cooper, a criminal, nate and a prom queen, addy were present when Simon died, all of them are suspects but who is the one that did it? who is lying? just by reading the summary I got goosebumps.  "I didn't want things to stay the same for eternity because I knew things would always get better" Percy Jackson and the last olympian is the final and fifth book in the Percy Jackson series. One word describes this book. Amazing.  This particular book is the reason I got into reading. It is so good and I absolutely recommend you all to read the complete series. If you like it, you can move on to Heroes of Olympus (the next series) This conclusion to the saga revolves around Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, as he leads his friends in a last stand to protect Mount Olympus and the rest of the world from Kronos and his army of titans and monsters. This book is full of unpredictable plot twists and sudden cliffhangers which never makes you want to put the book down. "life is a book, and there are a thousand pages I have yet to read." this book. oh my gosh this book.  I have no words. this book broke me into pieces and left me crying for the day. clockwork princess is the third and final book of 'the infernal devices'. it is set in the during the 1800 century and follows the perspective of the main protagonist Tessa gray.  this book is written so beautifully by the author, Cassandra Clare, that it would leave you in a puddle of tears.  the epilogue though. that's where you would have had enough. it is literally the most agonising and painful experience reading that. anyway, I don't want to scare you by going into the depths of how emotional this book is.  let me introduce you to the main protagonists of this book series. he would give you the happiness and joyfulness you don't deserve. he is so bold and caring, like the knight in shining armour. he is hope that is not lost. he is will herondale. his smile is like the s...

It keeps tightening, infinitely" This novel is about a troubled 16 year old girl named Aza holmes, She struggles with anxiety and OCD, which often brings up her constant fear of obtaining the disease, C. diff. Through her journey, her loved ones try their best to support her and help her get better but it just worsens and worsens. She is just a young woman navigating daily existence within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts. This book is one of the best I have ever read because I love how the author John Green shares Aza's story with a shattering, unflinching clarity. They mean well."   if someone asked me to describe this book in one word, I couldn't,  Playlist for the Dead  by Michelle Falkoff is about a boy named Sam. His best and only, friend Hayden has just committed suicide, and all he has left, as a suicide note, is a  playlist , with 27  songs  on it. As he tries to decipher the  playlist  he learns more and more about Hayden's life, and the people in it. the concept and idea of the story is really amazing and the plot of the story is very well written too.  its just that (don't attack me) the ending kind of failed to impress me.  as I read through the book, it kind of got predictable for me and how the characters would play part in Hayden's death...
