"you talk like a constipated gnome." brain = exploded. murder mystery number three. I'm sorry it's so addicting i can't stop reading them. three cousins- Milly, Aubrey and Jonah are invited to work at their Grandmother's mansion island for the summer, they are absolutely shocked and confused since they have never even met their grandmother. their parents, Grandmother's children, were disinherited before they were born. they haven't from her in more than 20 years, but why now? When their parents were disinherited, they recieved a single letter from their grandmother. "you know what you did." this book is like so mind blowing. The cousins literally find their parents dark pasts when they go to the island mansion and my heart almost beat out of my chest multiple times. the Story family has so many hidden and dark secrets, can the cousins figure out the reason for their parents' disinheritance? read to find out! okay, seriously. why does e...

"one choice does not define your whole future" wholesome and heart warming. the book is a must read. it has SO many great messages about life and i love it. Maegan is the typical overachiever but she has a secret of her own from last year which kind of ruined her life. it doesn't help that her sister comes home pregnant, a secret which is too much for Maegan to handle. Rob was the famous lacrosse player in high school until he fell from grace when his father was caught stealing money from his clients. even worse, his father's failed suicide attempt leaves Rob to take care of him. when Maegan and Rob are paired for a maths project, they're both reluctant to let each other through the walls they have built around themselves. When Rob tells Maegan something he did, will this ruin their fragile, new friendship? this novel revolves around this one unanswered question: is it okay to do the wrong thing for the right reasons? I stayed up til 7 am to finish this book. t...

"we're all united by grief but somehow divided by the same thing." I would describe this book as the sad, comfort read we all need. it has the perfect amount of emotion and grief and anger and happiness I wanna cartwheel and cry of joy at the same time. okay maybe I'm overreacting but after reading this book you'd understand why I'm behaving like this. Juliet Young lost her mother four months ago. her death doesn't stop Juliet from writing her letters. she leaves letters at her grave even if there's no way for her mother to read it. the young seventeen year old is torn with grief and the pain she feels inside is so severe no one can fix it. Declan Murphy is a guy no one would want to mess with. he's the stereotypical bad guy everyones assumes he is. one time he got high and crashed his car. he's a total disappointment to everyone around him. if only someone understood him and saw him for who he really is. Declan works at the local cemetery. o...

"we tell ourselves there are reasons for things that happen, but we're just telling ourselves stories." it took me a whole of ten minutes to pick the perfect starting quote. I still haven't, you know? BECAUSE ALL OF THEM ARE PERFECT. literally every single word in this book is magical and worth reading. yes, it's that good. first of all, this whole book is set in a timespan of a single. day. (p.s.- this book cannot get anymore interesting) Natasha is a type of girl who believes in science and facts. not fate. not destiny. she is definitely not the type of girl who meets a guy on a New York City street that would change her life. not when her family is 12 hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Daniel has always been a good son, with parents' high expectations. never the poet. or the dreamer. but when he see's her, everything changes. the universe has brought them both to this single moment. a million futures lies before them. but which one would com...

" it's pretty reckless going out at three am in the moring. unless there's no reason for you to be afraid. unless you're the one who people should be afraid of. " third murder mystery in less than a month and every book by Karen M. McManus makes my jaw drop. this book was so not what I expected it to be. well, it's not like it ever is. Ellery and her twin brother Eli have never been to Echo Ridge High. it was where their aunt went missing at the age of sixteen and never returned and five years ago a homecoming queen, Lacey, was murdered. it's almost certain that the person who killed Sarah (the aunt) could have killed Lacey too. looks like the small town has secrets to hide. I don't want to give too much away but this novel has a bit of action too. thriller and action? they make a scary pair when you don't know what's coming. I love this book because it has a ton of unexpected and interesting plot twists. (not gonna lie, I saw some of them ...

"we're like the kardashians, except any money" final thoughts after reading this book? oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, no, no, no, this CANNOT be happening. one of us is next is the sequel to the book one of us is lying (check out my book review before this) this book focuses on three main protagonists- Maeve (Bronwyn Rojas, the protagonist of 'one of us is lying's' sister), Phoebe Lawton and Knox Myers. I have to be honest, this book was really addicting right until the middle where I had this smart thought- 'oh, this book is so easy to predict, the person doing all this is obviously *censored*' (read the book to find out) and boy was I wrong. SO SO WRONG. someone has started playing a game of Truth or Dare. But this is no ordinary Truth or Dare. This game is lethal. Choosing the truth may reveal your darkest secrets, accepting the dare could be dangerous, even deadly but what other choice do they have? always choose the dare this is what the summar...
